SHRINKY DINKS - PoW Project 3 (Blog War)

Hi all,

Here's my project for today using Shrinky Dinks.

I stamped the Owl image onto Shrinky plastic twice and used the circle punch to cut them out before shrinking them with a heat gun. Stamped the owl image onto White card stock using Tim Holts Distress Ink - Faded Jeans (TIM21452) and the branch image from the Love and Cherish Set (4128KO) and sentiment from Mini Messages Set (006KK) was stamped in Vintage Photo. Vintage Photo Distress Ink was also used to sponge around the edges of the card.
I also added a piece of knotted Rust Gingham Ribbon (80505) and attached the two Shrinky images using Glossy Accents.

SHRINKY DINKS - PoW Project 2

Hi All,

Today's creation using Shrinky Dinks (PoW).... I have created a tile embelishment.

I stamped " For my Friend Script " (4083) in Coal Black (72010) Ancient Page Ink onto a piece of Shrinky Dinks and pre- punched holes at each end, then I heated the stamped image to shrink it.

I also used Doodle Designs Endearments (4176KM) scalloped the edge of a piece of Cupcake / Stripes SB Paper (4831) I added some Magenta Organdy Ribbon to the Shrinky tile and adhered it to the SB Paper with some Glossy Accents, finally I added a coloured Rhinestone (4555).

SHRINKY DINKS - PoW Project 1

Hi all.

I hope you had a fabulous weekend, boy the year is passing by so quickly.

This weeks PoW is " SHRINKY DINKS "(1558) .

What is " SHRINKY DINKS " ..I hear you ask.

It is sheets (approx 250mm x 200 mm) of special formulated plastic which transforms to approximately 1/3rd their original size and actually become 9 times thicker when heated.

It is great for creating your own embelishments for cards and scrapbooking.

You can also create magnets, key chains, charms, jewellery, ornaments, name tags ........the ideas are unlimited!....Packs of Shrinky Dinks Frosted - Ruff n' Ready comes in sheets of 5 ( 1558) and full instructions included.

Fabulous fun for all the family from 4 to 90 years...of course adult supervision i recommended when heating.

I can remember using this many years ago, when I was a child. We use to heat it up in the oven back then, we were amazed how it transformed and the amazement amongst children and adults alike still continues.

Shrinky Dinks sheets can be found on page 58 of the current Kaszazz catalogue.

In todays card I have used Cupcakes/Stripes SB Paper (4831), Purple Card (9492), I stamped the Cupcake (4136KF) onto the Shinky Dinks sheet, then cut around the image , coloured the back using Aquacolor Crayons (4540) then placed the image into a heatproof tray and used a Heat Gun (1013) to Shrink it.

I attatched an eyelete to the Cupcake SB Paper and hung the Shrinky charm from Jump Rings (6460) ..so it actually dangles from the rings. The small cupake stamped on the punched circle is from the Calendar Icon Set (4126KJ), I also added some White Rick Rack Ribbon (70765)

Hi all,

Atleast today the water level has gone down in our little part of the floods in South East Queensland.. There is still a lot of water and debris around but no damage here.

Fortunately we were lucky, but there are lots in the region that are worse off.. The news reports say its the worse flood in the area since 1974.

Here are some photos we took yesterday on our little outting into the park which backs onto our property.

Building an Ark

Welcome to "Sunny Queensland ???"

Seeeeshhh..... if this weather keeps up I will need to start building an ark. Its been raining non-stop since yesterday.

The favourite saying in Queensland..."Beautiful one day, flooded the next".

The park over the back fence is totally flooded and almost up to our back fence..... the creek is now like a raging river, normally you cant see it from our back window...but you can now its only a few feet from our house

If I'm able to get out in between down pours I will try to get some photo's.

What a pefect day for staying indoors with a nice cuppa and do some scrapbooking.

PEBBLES INC CHALK SETS - (PoW) Project 4

Hi All,

I hope you are all set for a great weekend..I know I am...

On Sunday I will be attending a Kaszazz Team Training Day, where we (consultants) will be creating 2 new Workshops which will consist of using the new products that will be released to the public on Monday.. I'm so excited ... ( A whole day Scrapping and papercrafting)

So if you drop back here on Monday I will have some exciting New Products and the new Workshops to share with you all.

Well...onto todays project...

I have gold embossed the Blossom (772LJ) image and coloured them with Aqua Crayons. I stamped the bird from the Love and Cherish Set (4128KO) in Coal Black Ancient Page Ink (72010) then stamped it again onto a scrap piece of paper to create a mask along with a punched circle to create a moon. I then attatched these masks to the card with Non Permanent Tape (4819) chalked the background with pink and blue chalk from the Basic Brights Set.

I used the small circle punch to create the corners, i matted this onto a piece of blue card then attatched it to the stamped pink base card..I also added some Organdy ribbbon.

I like the end result but I'm not 100% sure if I'm completely happy with it, I feel its missing something not sure what.. ..if you can come up with any hints for improvement I would love to hear from you, any suggestions would greatly be appreciated....let me know what you think.

PEBBLES INC CHALK SETS - (PoW) Project 3

Sorry but this is a quick post and share as its very late here. Time has got away from me today.
I have created a mosiac background using Basic Brights Chalking set White base card and a small piece of Bahama and Purple Bazzill.

Hi all,

Here is todays PoW project.

I used Purple Bazzill (4513) as the base card, measures 18cm x 13cm so when completed it would fit into a C6 size envelope.

I stamped the Magnolia(967LK) image 3 times onto White card using Perfect Medium and cut them out - different sections , coloured and layered them with Magic Mount to give a 3d effect and added Glossy Accent to the centre. The flower and sentiment "Friends Like Flowers" (4048KG) were coloured with Basic Brights Chalk Set(42001).

I Gold Embossed the Flourish (4082) and small daisy (from the Calender Icons Set(4126KJ)).

PEBBLES INC CHALK SETS - (PoW) Project 1

I hope you had a great weekend especially all the mothers.

With todays project I got to have a play with some of my new stamps...wooohooo..... I (finally) received on Friday..no thanks to the Parcel Delivery Contractor .. a very long story....grrrrr

I used the Basic Brights Pebbles Chalk Set (42001) ...coz unfortunately its the only set I own at present.....I wish I had the Pearlescent ones :'( ... it would have looked great with the shimmer Chalks ... but oh well ..I still got the look I wanted ... my "Wish List " never seems to get any shorter.



Newly released, Doodle Designs Endearments Stamp Set (4838), .... I just love this set.... and the Daisy Flower from Spring Time Stamp Set (4804) was inked in Perfect Medium (2383), Mini Messages Endearments (4177) "Thinking of You" was inked inTim Holtz Peeled Paint (TIM20233).

I also added a Rhinestone (4556) to the Heart image and some Ice Stickles (4016) to the other 3 images for some bling and attatched Orange Organdy Ribbon (9310) bow.

Hi all,

The last project I created (on Thursday), can be viewed here it reminded me of this video that I had seen while browsing the net some time ago.

Its very very funny, creative and well worth the look.
