Hi Stampers,
I hope you had a fabulous weekend.
Welcome to today's Blog War Challenge - this weeeks theme is more a technique of the week rather than a product. We are doing "Once was White" - its where we take a White piece of Card (or Bazzil) and change it by adding colour. - Sounds simple....doesn't it.
Here is a very very simple card, but I think very effective, its a reproduction of a card I submitted to Kaszazz recently for a "Make & Take Demo". - I just love the shabby chic effect the paint dabbers give.
I have used an Adirondack Paint Dabber - Pool (ABD22466) to colour the background and then stamped the Butterfly and flower image ( 1942LM) and "Life " (4131KI) verse in Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
You could try all different combinations by changing the colour of the Paint Dabber and the colour of the base card - it looks fab on Oatmeal Card Stock...Give it a try......See what different combinations you come up with..
Sorry about the bad photo..the lighting wasnt very good I will try and get a better picture tomorrow, but atleast you get the idea. Keep smilin'
